Although there were so many projects that I learned a lot from and enjoyed, the gradient portrait was probably my favorite. I liked how we got to create all aspects of the project, from the picture, to the drawing of the outline and even painting with our own color scheme. I really enjoyed being able to paint and have it turn out exactly how I wanted.
The project I learned and grew as a photographer most as is probably through the 12 Faye of Photoshop. Although this project was not my favorite, I realized that I learned a lot about using photoshop. We made a bunch of different creative designs and pictures. For an example, we did a holiday mashup and were able to fit holiday aspects into original paintings, making it look extremely realistic. Without this project I think that we would have not had as many skills in Photoshop as we do now. Another project that I grew equally from is the photographer research. In this we learned about a particular person and what type and style they used/ use to take their photos. In addition we were able to take pictures and represent their style.
In the depth and field project we learned skills in this project that we used all year to take good photographs. For example, we used the skills learned in this project recently in the forced perspective project. Because of all the experience we got as the year went on, we were able to be so much more advanced. Using the different focuses and depths that the camera created, we made a forced perspective that made things look closer or further away than they really are.
The project that has reflected me as a photographer/ artist the most is the selfie project. In this project we got to use photos taken at any time that represent us as a person. I added a selfie, pictures of my friends, family and pets. Using photoshop we got to weave these pictures together on a background. I really enjoyed this project because it was totally up to us individually. This project really represented each person because it was totally up to me.
I would like to see this class have more projects like the gradient where we add in painting and drawing some of the photographs as well.
